Here is the problem for a lot of us born with a desire for adventure; we grow up being told to follow the safest path and stick to it. Stay in school, do your homework, choose a career, marry and start a family, buy a house, a car, a TV to relax but continue working hard to keep up with the Jonses! If you are on that trajectory don’t lose hope, my friend. Keep your dream alive. The day will come where it will become reality but you will have to use your imagination, your perseverance and your strong will to make it happen.

This is the story of my dream and how it became reality, how the adventure started and I was catapulted day after day from one high to the next. Believe me, the result was better than perfect, better than the dream itself. Read on! This story comes from the heart and I think it will give you a good idea of what to expect if your dream is to head out on the road. My hope is that this book will motivate you to make your dream come true. Be it South America or elsewhere, motorbike or another form of travel, solo or with your friends, nine months or nine days, what matter is your attitude. Trust your instinct.
